Established and Furnished a Secretariat within MoGCA

Recruited Two Dedicated Staff Members
To ensure smooth operations, NeWMaP recruited two full-time staff members to manage daily activities. This has strengthened the network’s capacity to execute programs and maintain consistent engagement with members and partners.
Revitalised the Defunct Council of Women Councillors
NeWMaP successfully revitalised the long-dormant Council of Women Councillors, re-establishing it as a key partner in local governance. This move has strengthened the representation and influence of women at the district and ward levels.
Trained and Launched the Network of Female Councillors (NFC)
The Network of Female Councillors (NFC) was trained and officially launched to support NeWMaP’s objectives at the grassroots level. This initiative enhances coordination and amplifies the voices of women leaders across all districts of Sierra Leone.
